Bespoke builds, trusted builder partnerships, and concierge sourcing, handled entirely by people who actually drive these trucks.
Most of what’s out there is mass-market, overpriced, or already spoken for. The Defender has become one of the most coveted platforms in the world — but genuine quality builds, sourced and vetted by people who know the difference, are hard to find through normal channels.
Turismo exists for a different kind of buyer. One who knows exactly what they want and won’t settle for close enough. We source, spec, and facilitate custom and other classic land rovers through direct relationships with some of the most respected builders in the space. The classic Defender’s soul doesn’t need replacing. It needs preserving, then elevating.
One point of contact, no handoffs.
We work locally and ship anywhere.
Turismo is a boutique dealership built by people who got tired of the way high-end vehicles were being bought and sold. The founders came up through private collecting, spending years acquiring, driving, and living with exceptional European vehicles before deciding to build a business around doing it properly.
Today, Turismo is headquartered in Denver and handles sourcing and Defender builds for clients nationwide. Everything runs appointment-only. No walk-ins, no pressure, just two principals who know this market and want to get your build right.
The Defender specialty runs deep. Turismo has commissioned its own custom build, works closely with top industry builders, and consistently sources pre-owned and other classic land rovers most buyers never see listed publicly.
The classic Defender platform is one of the most adaptable vehicles ever built. That’s part of what makes it so compelling for bespoke work. Here’s what Turismo can facilitate for you.
We maintain access to curated pre-owned Defender builds through the Turismo network. These are vetted builds, typically with hundreds to thousands of hours of labor already invested, available for acquisition without commissioning a new build from scratch.
Every classic Defender starts with the platform. Each has its own character — here’s how the three configurations compare.
The short-wheelbase platform for the buyer who wants something athletic, precise, and distinctive. The 90 is the Defender enthusiast’s Defender.
The most versatile Defender platform and the most popular for full custom builds. The 110 handles everything from refined daily drivers to serious overland rigs, and it’s the platform our builder partners work with most extensively.
The long-wheelbase platform for maximum capability and presence — extra length for seating, storage, or a proper bed, without giving up the classic Defender silhouette.
The process isn’t complicated — but it is deliberate. Here’s what working with Turismo looks like from first contact to delivery.
We start with a conversation. What platform? What powertrain? What spec, timeline, and what matters most to you? We ask the right questions upfront so nothing gets lost in translation later — whether you know exactly what you want or are still figuring it out.
We walk you through options, platform (90, 110, or 130), powertrain (TD5, or other), exterior configuration, color and finish, interior package, and bespoke requests. For new commissions, the builder’s design team is brought in at this stage; for pre-owned, we match your spec against our network.
Turismo manages the relationship with the selected build partner throughout. These builds can involve well over a thousand hours of labor, so this stage deserves proper oversight. You have one point of contact, and we keep you informed without overwhelming you.
Whether you’re in Denver, Aspen, or anywhere in the country, we coordinate final delivery and make sure the vehicle meets your exact expectations before handoff. We drive every vehicle before it reaches a client. If something isn’t right, we handle it — not you.
Turismo’s reputation wasn’t built on advertising. It was built client by client, over years of getting the details right when it counted.
Turismo is headquartered in Denver and sources and facilitates custom Defender builds for clients across the United States. If you’re serious about the right build, geography isn’t a barrier. Video consultations, secure transaction coordination, and nationwide delivery are all standard.

Build pricing varies significantly based on platform (90, 110, or 130), builder, and spec level. Custom builds through our partner network typically range from $150,000 to $300,000+ as of 2026, depending on powertrain, interior package, and customization depth. Pre-owned specialist Defenders in the Turismo network are typically available below new-build pricing. Contact us for a current estimate based on your spec.
The 90 is short-wheelbase — more athletic, tighter to drive, the purist’s choice. The 110 is the most versatile and most popular for custom builds, handling everything from city driving to serious overland. The 130 is long-wheelbase, offering the most interior space and load capacity — ideal for expedition rigs or multi-row luxury interiors.
The new Defender (L663, introduced 2020) is a modern SUV on an aluminum monocoque platform. A classic Defender build — Series, 90, 110, or 130 from the original 1983–2016 run — uses traditional body-on-frame construction that’s simpler, more customizable, and considered the more authentic machine. The character, proportions, and ability to fully bespoke-build a classic simply don’t exist with the new model.
Yes. Turismo maintains a curated inventory of pre-owned builds and custom Defenders, including the Turismo ECD 001, a completed TD5 Defender 110 commissioned by our own principals. We also source off-market builds through our network that never get publicly listed. Contact us or check the inventory page for current availability.
Yes. We work with clients across the country. Video consultations, remote spec selection, and coordinated nationwide delivery are all standard. Being outside Colorado doesn’t change the experience — we’ve handled builds and sourcing for clients in multiple states who managed everything without visiting Denver.
There are very few people in Denver — or the country — who know this market the way we do. If you’ve been looking for a bespoke Defender and haven’t found the right source yet, this is where that changes. We don’t take on every client, and we don’t promise timelines we can’t keep. What we do promise is that you’ll work directly with people who care about getting this right as much as you do.
